On your trip to Epernay, the capital of Champagne, come to the Boutique du Chai shop to taste the various Alfred Gratien champagnes, reflecting the work and passion of the men and women who have been making them since 1864.

Alfred Gratien is one of the few champagne houses to perform all of its winemaking in oak barrels without malolactic fermentation. Offering huge ageing potential and remarkable freshness, Alfred Gratien champagnes are bursting with generosity, finesse and vibrancy.

«Champagnes & Cheeses» Workshop

Champagne Alfred Gratien x François Robin

The result of the meeting of two craft enthusiasts, Nicolas Jaeger, Cellar Master and François Robin, Cheese Expert, one of the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Fromager, this workshop is an invitation to a sensory journey.

In order to explore the aromatic dimensions of our champagnes and to choose the cheeses that would reveal their characteristics, we compared the similarities of a great wine of Champagne adn a great cheese, whose elaboration, gestures and know-how are transmitted from generation to generation.
